On the eve of Halloween, Shigeo Kageyama, known to his friends as “Mob,” felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. This year, instead of spending the night in his usual quietude, he was embracing his spectral side, ready to connect with the world of spirits that surrounded him. Dressed in a simple yet effective ghost costume—a flowing white sheet with eyeholes cut out—Mob hoped to channel the ethereal nature of spirits.
