Copyright & Intellectual Property
Artwork ownership, artist attribution, and a clear way to contact AniGame about your work.
AniGame is an independent, free-to-play Discord game and community project created for fans of anime, manga, games, and related media. AniGame respects the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, publishers, studios, and other rights holders.
This page explains how third-party intellectual property may appear within AniGame, how ownership and attribution are handled, and how artists and rights holders can contact us regarding their work.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
AniGame features and references characters, series, artwork, illustrations, names, trademarks, and other material associated with anime, manga, games, and related entertainment properties.
AniGame does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property.
All copyrights, trademarks, characters, artwork, illustrations, names, logos, and other intellectual property belong to their respective rights holders.
Depending on the property, those rights may be held by one or more parties, including:
- Original creators and authors
- Manga and light novel artists
- Independent illustrators
- Animation studios
- Publishers
- Production committees
- Game developers and publishers
- Licensors and distributors
- Trademark owners
- Other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights holders
The appearance of third-party material within AniGame does not transfer ownership of that material to AniGame.
Artwork & Images
AniGame may display artwork and imagery relating to the characters and series represented within the game.
This may include official promotional material, illustrations, screenshots, publicly accessible imagery, fan artwork, or other visual material created by third parties.
Where an independent artist can reasonably be identified, we aim to provide appropriate attribution or source information.
Attribution does not mean that AniGame owns the artwork, nor should attribution be interpreted as a transfer, waiver, or replacement of any rights belonging to the original creator or copyright holder.
All rights in third-party artwork remain with their respective creators and rights holders.
Attribution does not itself grant permission to use a work. Public availability does not mean that a work is free of copyright.
Artist Attribution
We respect the time and effort artists put into their work.
When artwork from an identifiable independent artist is used by AniGame, we aim to credit the artist where reasonably possible.
However, artwork can sometimes be reposted or redistributed online without its original source, artist information, or proper attribution.
As a result, an artist may occasionally be unidentified or incorrectly attributed.
If you are the creator of artwork appearing within AniGame and believe:
- Your credit is missing;
- Your artwork has been credited to the wrong person;
- The source linked to your artwork is incorrect;
- Your name or artist information should be updated; or
- You would like your artwork removed;
please contact us through our Copyright & Artwork Request process.
We welcome legitimate corrections and will review the information provided.
Artwork Removal Requests
Artists and rights holders may request that their artwork be removed from AniGame.
If you are an artist, copyright holder, or an authorized representative of a rights holder and would prefer that AniGame no longer display your work, please submit a request through our contact form.

Once we receive a copyright or artwork request, the AniGame team will review the information supplied.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- Remove the artwork;
- Replace the artwork;
- Correct or add artist attribution;
- Correct the original source;
- Update information associated with the artwork;
- Request additional information when necessary to identify the work or claimant; or

We aim to handle legitimate creator and rights-holder concerns respectfully.
Official Anime, Manga & Game Material
Some material appearing within AniGame may originate from officially published anime, manga, games, promotional campaigns, websites, key visuals, posters, character illustrations, or other official sources.
AniGame does not claim ownership of such material.
Ownership and other rights remain with the applicable creators and rights holders, which may include authors, artists, publishers, animation studios, production committees, licensors, distributors, game publishers, and other entities associated with the relevant property.
Fan Art & Independent Artwork
Fan artwork remains the work of its respective artist.
The artist may own copyright in their original artistic contribution, while the characters, settings, names, designs, or other underlying intellectual property depicted in the artwork may separately belong to the respective owners of the original property.
AniGame does not claim ownership of an artist's independent work simply because that work appears within AniGame.
Artists who would like their work removed or their attribution updated may contact us using the process described on this page.
No Affiliation or Endorsement
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, AniGame is an independent project.
The inclusion of an anime, manga, game, character, artist, studio, publisher, or other third-party property within AniGame does not imply that AniGame is officially affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by its respective rights holders.
References to third-party properties are not intended to suggest an official partnership unless such a partnership has been expressly announced by AniGame and the applicable party.
Trademarks
Anime titles, manga titles, character names, company names, logos, game titles, trademarks, and other brand identifiers referenced within AniGame remain the property of their respective owners.
Use or reference of a third-party trademark does not mean AniGame owns that trademark or has an official relationship with its owner.
AniGame Original Material
Third-party intellectual property should be distinguished from content independently created for AniGame.
Subject to applicable third-party rights, AniGame may hold rights in original materials created specifically for the service, including:
- AniGame software and source code
- Original website code
- Original written content
- Original game content and written descriptions of game systems
- Original interface designs
- Original AniGame branding
- Original selection and arrangement of database content, where protected by applicable law
- Original graphics and assets created specifically for AniGame
- Original or commissioned materials where the applicable rights have been granted to AniGame
Nothing on this page grants permission to reproduce, redistribute, sell, or otherwise use AniGame-owned material without authorization.
Copyright does not protect game ideas, mechanics, methods, or systems themselves.

AniGame takes legitimate intellectual property concerns seriously.

You do not need to make a public complaint or contact community moderators before submitting a copyright request.
