Bullets and Battle Rules
  • Every hunter starts with 10 bullets for the entire 10-day event.
  • Confirming an attack spends one bullet.
  • Your gear also enters a fixed 15-minute attack cooldown. The cooldown lasts the full duration regardless of whether you win, lose, forfeit, or encounter a technical interruption.
  • A three-hour board rotation will not cut off a battle already in progress.
  • Winning claims the bounty and awards its Hunter Tokens, matching Bounty Points, and 10,000 Gold.
Optional Bounty Modifiers

Every bounty displays a combat modifier, but hunters decide whether to accept the extra danger. Use the Modifier: ON/OFF button on your wanted board to change your preference.

  • Modifier OFF: Fight the normal bounty for its base 3, 4, or 5 Tokens and Points.
  • Modifier ON: Apply the displayed challenge and earn +1 Hunter Token and +1 Bounty Point on a successful claim.
  • Modified rewards are therefore 4, 5, or 6 Tokens and Points, depending on the bounty tier.
  • The 3-token target uses the Easy version, the 4-token target uses Medium, and the 5-token target uses Hard.
  • Each board selects three different effects from the available modifier pool.
  • Your ON/OFF preference carries forward to future Bounty Hunt events, but it can be changed at any time from the board.

The exact effect, difficulty, and reward are shown on both the wanted board and final battle confirmation before a bullet is spent.

Bounty Points and Leaderboard
  • Bounty Points determine both leaderboard placement and the matchmaking order for the next rotation.
  • The leaderboard is paginated in groups of 10 hunters.
  • First, second, and third place receive gold, silver, and bronze placement markers - NO REWARDS WILL BE GIVEN BASED ON PLACEMENT!
  • Your exact rank and point total remain visible in the hub and leaderboard footer.
  • Hunter Tokens are spendable event currency; spending Tokens does not reduce your Bounty Points or leaderboard position.
Hunter Token Shop

Open .bh shop to spend the Tokens earned from successful claims:

  • 1 Hunter Token → 5,000 Gold
  • 3 Hunter Tokens → one five-card Bounty Hunt Epic Pack
  • 5 Hunter Tokens → one five-card Bounty Hunt Legendary Pack
  • 20 Hunter Tokens → one featured event card of your choice at Ultra Rare

Edit: 15 updated to 20 for balancing

📝Dev Notes: Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunter is an experimental game mode at the moment, and require testing from users to craft a better version for the next phase.

Ultimately at its core, it should be treated as an event that gives out free rewards for participating, rather than a competitive leaderboard event.

Some things that we expect and are okay with:

  • Leaderboard placement can vary greatly based on luck (getting lucky/unlucky based on spawns/modifiers)
  • 3h refresh rates mean that for users that want to place top, they would need to be online for a majority of the day. If we increase the refresh rate timer however, it would mean that players would have less of a chance to maximize rewards as there would be less hunts in total.
  • We opted for maximizing rewards for players over placement being a grind. We'll still monitor this and adjust days/refresh rates for next event based on community feedback.

Some things that we expect and want to minimize by adjusting stats:

  • Bounty hunts should not be whoever "places" their attack first without caring about team composition when the bounty hunts refresh (e.g, the bosses are too easy), nor should they be too hard where the bosses are undefeatable.
  • Sometimes it's inevitable but we want the % to be in the very low single digits, as they're procedurally generated, but ideally they're in that sweet spot where it's just hard enough to beat with an optimized team for the 5 token bounties.
